Article: Bangladesh v South Africa ODI Series, More Tiger Feats??
Most weekends would find me at the Disco, king of the dance floor I was, moves that would make John Travolta not only eat his heart out, but the rest of his internal organs too!
My favourite song at the time was "Tiger Feet" by Mud.
"That's right, that's right, that's right, that's right I really love your tiger light. That's neat, that's neat, that's neat, that's neat, I really love your tiger feet ……your tiger feeeeeeeeeet, oh righhhhht"
Great days, great memories.
Sadly, now approaching fifty, the flairs, the platform shoes, the medallions and the hair are all but gone. However, those Tiger Feats are still alive and kicking!
Though the Bangladesh Tigers continue to struggle in the Test format, they have enjoyed regular success in the one day game on a regular basis, and at amazing prices.
In the last years world cup they beat New Zealand in warm game at 10/1 , then went on to beat India at 11/1 , and significantly, they also beat South Africa in the Super 8's stage at amazing odds of 20/1 !
They also knocked West Indies out of the recent World Twenty20 tournament.
All these amazing feats were achieved overseas, so there is no reason why they cannot cause an upset or two against South Africa on home pitches.
South Africa are obviously a formidable side and of course they very capable of winning the series 3-0. But at 1/6 generally at the bookies and 1.17 on the exchanges they do not represent value.
Bangladesh have young exciting batsmen, in Tamim, Siddique and Ashraful and if one of two of them can get a start they are very capable of posting or chasing up big totals.
Another positive for the Tigers is their spin attack. South Africa have often shown that they are vulnerable to spin and I would expect the pitches to definitely aid the slow bowlers.
I am reasonably confident that Bangladesh can win at least one of the three games in this series and STRONGLY recommend a lay of South Africa in each match. One win will guarantee a decent series profit and this opportunity is too good to miss.
For Sunday's first game, my confident tip is to Lay South Africa on Betfair at the current 1.18 for 2pts liability (profit of 11.1 pts).
Join me and if Bangladesh win we could all be singing and dancing again to the tune of the tiger's feat !!
