Article: Bangladesh V South Africa 2nd ODI

e-mail to friend  print this article
In my series preview I said I thought Bangladesh were more then capable of winning one of the three games. The first game saw an emphatic nine wicket win for South Africa and on the face of it a Bangladesh win looks more remote.

However, the downside for a team that wins by nine wickets, especially overseas, is that the middle order batsmen did not get a bat. South Africa has a relatively inexperienced middle to late order having rested Kallis and Boucher for this series. If Bangladesh can remove the openers early on in one of the next two games, I can definitely see the other batsmen struggling due to being undercooked on these pitches.

There is a very little downside in laying South Africa at this price but a very big upside and I remain reasonably confident that Bangladesh can still win one of the last 2 games.

LAY South Africa @1.14 on Betfair for 2pts liability
