Wednesday sees the next meeting of the old enemies. Pakistan have disappointed in this tournament and barring two heavy defeats for India against them and Sri Lanka on Thursday, they will not make the final.

In their last game, India were priced at a generous 1.65 and they confirmed the value in this price by comfortably beating Pakistan , even though they were set 300 to win.

Since then, Pakistan have also lost just as convincingly to Sri Lanka and I anticipated a price of around 1.45 at most India for this game.

However, my anticipated price has proved to be way out, the current prices on the exchanges are:

Pakistan 2.54

India 1.64

So what's the catch, I say to myself, is this a suspicious gift horse whose mouth needs a thorough examination!

Well I have looked in the mouth of this horse and the first thing I see is that this match is at the match again is held at Karachi , a venue that the Indian batting line up adore. So nothing suspicious there.

I also see that Umar Gul, one of the spearhead Pakistan bowlers, is still missing and not made a miraculous recovery, so nothing suspicious there.

I see that there is no outbreak of a serious illness in the Indian squad; they look to be at full strength, so nothing suspicious there.

I have seen the weather forecast, it's set to be another hot day, not much chance of rain and a reduced overs match, so nothing suspicious there.

I have looked long and hard, and I really cannot see anything that suggests India should be a bigger price for this game then the last.

Their batting line-up remains the most formidable collective unit in world cricket and once again I expect them to show what they are capable of on this batters dream of a pitch at Karachi .

Gambhir, Sehwag, Raina and Yuvraj are already in the runs in this tournament, and India have scores so far of 374-4, 301-4 and 284-3 on this Karachi pitch in this tournament.

Bottom line is that this batting line-up is capable of scoring 300+ more times then not on most pitches, but a lot more still on this Karachi track.

Having looked in the mouth of this gift horse, I cannot see anything suspicious and therefore my strong suggestion for this game is:
