Article: Engage Super League: Castleford v Warrington
Just one more wager for this weekend although I must admit I toyed with backing Huddersfield against Hull KR. Home advantage meant, for me, that they should be slight favourites but it's been priced as pick 'em affair. If I can get around even money on the exchanges that'll probably do for me.
Castleford v Warrington

6th June 17:45 BST
Sky Sports 1 (17:30-19:55), Sky Sports HD1 (17:30-19:55)
I know Warrington have hit a bit of form and they have looked impressive in their last two televised outings at Hull KR and at home to Wigan but I can't have the start this big for a decent home side. It seems that this season all the teams are having little bursts of success but on the whole the league is really competitive and your next loss could be just round the corner. Last time on the road for a league fixture Warrington scraped past a depleted Hull side and I'd be having Cas as a more formidable outfit than them. Warrington will be on a high after their extra time success in the cup but as with horse racing there is a bounce factor in most sports. The elation of reaching a semi-final can sometimes take your eye off the ball. It is too easy to get carried away with one or two good results and I try not to. This is Warrington we are talking about; the most inconsistent outfit in Super League history.

Castleford will be disappointed that they haven't had a victory in recent weeks but they have been competitive throughout. They were within a second of drawing with Leeds in their last home fixture and if they can match the Rhinos then we should have no fears that they will be in with a shout against Wire. By virtue of their decent run and the form of their pack, Adrian Morley in particular, I make Warrington ever so slight favourites but it would be in the 0-2pts range. Again, if I disagree with the handicaps then more often than not I'm disagreeing with the match odds and I wouldn't put anyone off having a punt on Cas off scratch. Currently 2.62 on the exchanges, that's more than a fair price. Personally, I'm trying to lay Wire at 1.66 to give me the cushion of the draw.
Pick: Castleford +6 3pts @ 1.83 with Stan James
