Article: This Week's Rugby League
By The Man
Two bets from Super League this weekend, both with a similar theme:
Wigan v Warrington

14th August 20:00 BST
Sky Sports 2 (19:30-22:00), Sky Sports HD2 (19:30-22:00)
Wigan will be smarting from their cup semi final defeat to the same opposition and they have a great opportunity to inflict quick revenge. Their line up will have a similar look to their strongest available in the semi final in contrast to Warrington who have picked up a hatful of injuries. Mickey Higham - torn bicep, Brian Carney - broken arm, Paul Wood - broken leg, Simon Grix - shoulder, Matt King - hamstring, Jon Clarke - ankle, Garreth Carvell - rib, Chris Hicks - finger, Ben Harrison - quad muscle are all on the treatment table.
I'm also a big believer in a team losing focus once their final slot has been won especially for a team like Warrington who frequent finals so seldom. Their players will have one eye on the final and I expect Wigan to win comfortably. I had Wigan by 16 but wouldn't be surprised if there was a landslide and for that reason I've played the spreads too.
Pick: Wigan -12 3pts @ 2 with Bet365

Huddersfield v Bradford

16th August 19:00 BST
Sky Sports 2 (19:00-21:00), Sky Sports HD2 (19:00-21:00)
As I said it's a similar theme. Huddersfield were very intense in their victory over St.Helens and I feel it's difficult for a side not used to success to focus so quickly. They have their play-off berth secured and all the talk in the camp has been about how excited they are to reach the final, not one mention of the fact that Bradford play them this weekend. Obviously Bradford have had a wretched season but they do have players like Morrison, Menzies and Burgess who are all class. In all honesty I don't see much between the two teams in terms of ability it's simply that Huddersfield have over-performed and Bradford the opposite so far this season. I would have Huddersfield as 4pt favourites which accounts for home advantage which seems to be worth less and less and the fact I expect the "bounce" factor to hit.
Pick: Bradford +10 3pts @ 1.91 Totesport,
