This Week's Rugby League
By The ManI don't know if the layers are getting better or my thinking isn't radical enough but once again I'm struggling to disagree with most of the handicap lines on offer this weekend in Super League. However, I have sniffed out one line that I'm going to play:
St. Helens v Bradford Bulls

25th March 2011, 20:00 GMT
Last year's average in Super League was around the 49pts mark so why is this offering slightly less and receiving the generous even money? I'm not sure I know the answer but I'm going to take advantage. The weather has improved dramatically this week and all the pitches will have firmed up. The conditions are almost sultry for March and perfect conditions for scoring await.
This fixture has a history of high scores and Bradford have already shown their defence is porous when facing a decent team as witnessed in defeats to Huddersfield and Leeds. They do seem to have improved their attack, however, so they are a team that will be involved in high ones.
St.Helens have never had a problem scoring but they haven't quite got things right in defence this season as witnessed by Harlequins running up a big score.
Obviously, the bet can lose but I would have priced this one in the early fifties. Hopefully I won't go far wrong betting when I believe this price is wrong.
Pick: Over 46.5 Points 3pts @ 2.0
Of the other games I have got my inklings but not enough to recommend any firm wagers. I quite fancy Hull to turn things round at Harlequins. I think the previous Wigan fixture and the short turnaround undid them for the Wakefield game I also think Warrington +4 at even money isn't the worst wager in the world in a match with Wigan that can go either way.
