PICK IN PLAY SETTLEMENT
. CHAMPIONSHIP RELEGATION - PETERBOROUGH. Peterborough’s relegation was confirmed on Bank Holiday Monday and provided the Golden Nuggets with a 2.68 points gain.
. CHAMPIONS LEAGUE QUALIFICATION – BORDEAUX. Bordeaux couldn’t overturn the 3-1 deficit they faced from the first leg. Hugo Lloris was outstanding as he defiantly kept Bordeaux from getting the second goal that they needed. 2.00 points lost for the Golden Nuggets.
. CHAMPIONS LEAGUE QUALIFICATION – BAYERN MUNICH. 3-0 down after 41 minutes was not the start Bayern would have been looking for. Ivica Olic’s goal before half-time was crucial as the Germans slowly got into the match and once Rafael was dismissed for a second yellow card, it was just a matter of time before Bayern found a way through. 3.76 points gained for nuggets readers.
. EUROPA LEAGUE – BENFICA (EACH-WAY). Benfica just didn’t perform the way they can at Anfield and lost out 5-3 on aggregate. 3.00 points lost for nuggets readers.
. PREMIER LEAGUE RELEGATION – PORTSMOUTH. Pompey’s turbulent season inevitably ended in relegation. 5.25 points gained for the Golden Nuggets.
LAST WEEK RECAP
. NORWICH v STOCKPORT – NORWICH (-1 MATCH HANDICAP). Norwich continued their charge towards the League One title with a 2-1 home win which wasn’t enough to cover the handicap. 5.00 points lost.
. MANCHESTER UNITED v BAYERN MUNICH – BAYERN MUNICH (+1 ASIAN HANDICAP). Bayern lost by a goal at Old Trafford, but the away goals rule sent them through on the night. The result meant a void bet for the Golden Nuggets.
. PALERMO v CHIEVO – PALERMO. Palermo went behind but eventually eased their way to a 3-1 win. 2.00 points gained for the Golden Nuggets.
THIS WEEK’S NUGGETS
Real Valladolid v Sevilla

Tuesday April 13th 19:00 (GMT)
Sky Sports 2 (18:55-21:00), Sky Sports HD2 (18:55-21:00)
Sevilla boosted their chances of a Champions League place with a 2-1 win at Malaga on the weekend. The Andalucian’s haven’t had the season they hoped for but can still end it with the Copa del Rey and a spot in next season’s Champions League. Real Valladolid are destined for the drop and have failed to pick up points in recent weeks that might have given them a slim chance of survival. At odds against we’ll be happy to throw a couple of points on a Sevilla win.
PICK: 2*SEVILLA BEAT REAL VALLADOLID @ 2.0 (BET365)
Atletico Madrid v Xerez

Wednesday April 14th 19.00 (GMT)
Atletico Madrid rarely have problems scoring at home but their troubles have always come from a leaky backline. Atletico should find plenty of space available at the Vicente Calderon on Wednesday night against a Xerez team that has improved despite still lying at the foot of the table. Nestor Gorosito has sparked some life into the La Liga strugglers and they actually look capable of scoring goals these days, which they certainly did not earlier in the season. The Golden Nuggets expects to see plenty of chances in midweek and enough goals to go over the 2.5 mark.
PICK: 3*ATLETICO MADRID / XEREZ TOTAL MATCH GOALS OVER 2.5 @ 1.80 (VCBet
Portsmouth v Aston Villa

Sunday April 18th 16.00 (GMT)
Sky Sports 1 (15:30-18:00), Sky Sports HD1 (15:30-18:00)
Martin O’Neill’s Aston Villa suffered Wembley heartache for the second time this season when they lost 3-0 to Chelsea last weekend. The score was not a fair reflection of events, as the FA Cup semi-final was a far tighter affair than the eventual three goal difference. Fratton Park may not see Premier League football for a very long time after this season and if they can achieve another win in the league before the campaign is over, they’d have done well. Villa will want to finish the season in stronger fashion than they did this time last year, and they can start by taking three points in this encounter.
PICK: 3*ASTON VILLA BEAT PORTSMOUTH @ 1.77 (BODOG)
PICTURE OF THE WEEK
This week’s POW is Golden Nuggets favourite Natalie Sawyer. The Sky Sports News presenter was featured in the very early days of POW along with her fellow presenter and fiancé Sam “How lucky am I?” Matterface. As POW only runs until the end of the current football season, it’s essential that Natalie is featured on POW as we prefer to see her, which is without Matterface around.
