The Overrule: WTA Rome

Victoria Azarenka should have few problems dealing with Ana Ivanovic today at the Foro Italico in Rome. Ivanovic has been in an awful slump ever since she became world number one, although she did finally put together a decent match last night in beating Elena Vesnina. However, Azarenka represents a far greater challenge and one that Ivanovic is highly unlikely to overcome. Azarenka has not hit the heights expected since the early part of the year, but her potential is still undeniable. The Overrule is placing maximum confidence in Vika today. Azarenka beat Ivanovic 6-3, 6-2 at the French Open last year and I envisage a similar score this time around.
