The Overrule: ATP & WTA Madrid

Ana Ivanovic stung the Overrule twice last week when she defeated an ailing Victoria Azarenka and an off key Elena Dementieva. Jelena Jankovic is the next big name player to be afforded a good price based on the overreaction to Ivanovic’s results in Rome. Jankovic was superb in Rome, hammering Yanina Wickmayer and Venus Williams, as well as coming from behind multiple times to beat Serena Williams. Jankovic lost out in the final but her standard of performance will be too much for Ivanovic, whose error strewn game has not changed despite a rare good week in Rome.

Andy Murray has had a tough time of it since reaching the Australian Open final but he can get his clay court season going by seeing off Juan Ignacio Chela in straight sets. Chela has nothing to hurt Murray and his days of being a top 20-30 player are long over.
