Unsportsmanlike Conduct - Week Three
By Sports MagicianOur week three selection comes early as we suspect that the line on the Baltimore Ravens to beat the Cleveland Browns will move against us as Sunday approaches. Last week we benefited from a maximum confidence selection on the Kansas City Chiefs to beat the Browns and once again we have to place maximum confidence in our selection involving the hapless Browns.
Unlike week two, we won’t be able to enter the money line market as the Ravens are expectedly short to win the game outright, but they do appeal in the handicap market. The Ravens haven’t given up a touchdown in their opening two games against the New York Jets and Cincinnati Bengals and the Browns offense is unlikely to give them any sleepless nights. The Browns will once again have to rely on special teams for big plays as it is sure to be a bruising day for their offense. Jake Delhomme might want to take another week off and allow Seneca Wallace to receive the punishment that Ray Lewis et al look set to deliver in their home opener.
The Ravens have expressed their disgust at the way they feel their defense has been unfairly penalised for their physical and intimidating style. Lewis believes it cost them the game against their division rivals - the Bengals, in a 15-10 loss.
Joe Flacco and the Ravens offense haven’t played up to their potential thus far, but they should get on track against the Browns. The Ravens are ten point favourites and they should be able to cover that fairly comfortably with the way their defense is playing and with the expected improvement on offense. The selection is void should the Ravens win by ten.
