Chennai Superstars v Lahore Badshahs

Now what we have seen from the bookies is a classic over-reaction in making the Badshahs short priced jollies for this one at a best price of 1.67.
Yes the Lahore side did beat this very same opponent yesterday but not by much and it was a match that Chennai did not need to win whatsoever so there was little pressure on them to get a result.
With the terrific and very aggressive opening pair of Ian Harvey and Ganapathi Vignesh, Chennai always look to get off to an explosive start and this often pays off for them which really puts the opposition on the back foot early on. If these guys put on more than fifty for the opening wicket Chennai nearly always win.
With Russell Arnold, Stuart Law, Hemang Badani, Hemath Kumar and the marvellously talented Rajagopal Satish making up the middle order you can see why people rate their batting line-up.
Where the Badshahs do have the edge is in terms of the bowling. With brilliant and in form paceman Rana Naved and one of the best spinners in the competition in Saqlain Mushtaq in their side, they really do have the capability to put almost any batting side under pressure.
What is concerning to me about the Badshahs is their potentially exciting but somewhat temperamental batting. Imran Nazir and Imran Farhat are a potentially brilliant opening pair but rarely fire together, Mohammed Yousuf is a world class test cricketer but cannot usually up his tempo enough for the shortest format, Inzamam Ul-Haq has seen better days and is a liability between the wickets so there is little to trust there.
My own feeling on this game is that it is possibly a bit of a coin-flip really where I am looking to side with the value in Chennai @ 2.38 and feel satisfied that I have got on the more trustworthy team of the two.
RECOMMENDATION - 2.5 Points on Chennai @ 2.38 (Sportingbet
