In tonight's Carling Cup coupon there is one standout bet amongst some pretty poor options and that standout is Swansea.
Swansea have been terrific at home all season long and never look like being beaten at their fortress home, Liberty Stadium. Watford by contrast are a team in a relegation dogfight and lacking direction after their odd decision to part ways with Adey Boothroyd who masterminded their recent successes and had to sell players left right and centre to balance the books.
Watford really do not need a cup run clogging up their season; they need to focus on getting their league form back on track in order to beat the drop.

For what it is worth, these two sides played each other at the exact same venue in the League on Saturday and the match was won 3-1 by Swansea.
Roberto Martinez is starting to really get noticed by some of the big guns in football and will surely get a crack at a bigger club before long unless Swansea have an amazing run and get promoted this year!
It isn't all bad Watford fans... at least if you get beaten tonight you can focus on trying to stave off relegation. That will not be an easy feat to achieve but if they can get some continuity together then it is very probable.
