Article: Ford Ranger Cup - Western Australia v Victoria
Western Australia v Victoria

26th November 02:45 GMT
Predictably enough for me, the top three teams at present are the three that I said would have the chance to lift the Ford Ranger Cup in my season preview and these two have been right in the thick of the action.
Having lost to NSW in the season opener in a big shock, the Western Australia team has gone unbeaten and look good for a final spot the way they are going and this should be no surprise to anyone really given the quality that they have within their ranks.
Victoria were looking unbeatable for a while and then the perennial underdogs the Tasmanian Tigers came good and beat them in a thrilling encounter which has seen title favouritism amongst the bookies switch to Western Australia. So given that the Warriors are now favourites for the title you would surely think that they would be favourites for this clash on home turf against Victoria right? Wrong. Bizarrely enough they are a 2.2 outsider for this clash and once again despite the lack of betting coverage for these match-ups, the lack of knowledge displayed by the bookies leaves us a great value opportunity.
Even with both teams being a little up in the air regarding which International players will return to the fold, it should not change the fact that the Warriors are being seriously undervalued for this clash.
Conversely with the greater amount of big shot players amongst the Bushrangers side, I think that at even money they are a good shout to hit the most sixes for this contest.
Look out for Marcus North to score some runs for the Warriors, he is in great touch and hit a double hundred in the longer format recently. Gloucestershire fans know exactly what he is capable of on his day.
2008/09 Ford Ranger Cup - Points Table
| 1 | Tasmanian Tigers | 4 | 3 | 0 | 1 | 13 | 0.804 |
| 2 | Victorian Bushrangers | 4 | 3 | 0 | 1 | 13 | 0.5551 |
| 3 | Western Australia | 4 | 3 | 0 | 1 | 12 | 0.138 |
| 4 | Queensland Bulls | 5 | 2 | 0 | 3 | 8 | 0.3015 |
| 5 | New South Wales Blues | 5 | 1 | 0 | 4 | 4 | -0.587 |
| 6 | South Australia | 4 | 1 | 0 | 3 | 4 | -0.7901 |
RECOMMENDATIONS - 3 Points on Western Australia @ 2.2
2 Points on Victoria to hit most sixes @ 2
