Article: SUPER LEAGUE WEEKEND
SAINTS TO PILE ON MORE MISERY FOR MCNAMARA?
ST HELENS V BRADFORD Friday Evening 19:30 PM
It's funny how other managers being sacked seems to greatly increase the pressure on managers whose sides are perhaps not performing up to the required standard.
Take the example of Steve McNamara, who most people were very pleased with last year and would have been quick to refer to him as one of the best young coaches in Great Britain. At this very moment, believe me, he will be seriously feeling the pressure after last weeks relatively convincing defeat at home to the Catalan Dragons.
St Helens are starting to hit their usual run of form after what has been, at times, a patchy season for them. They must surely see this match as a perfect opportunity to extend their run of form and maintain some sort of challenge, although more realistically perhaps, consolidate their second placed position.
I am not going to argue that Bradford are a value pick for the match outright whatsoever, but I will argue that Totesport are way off the mark in giving Bradford a 22.5 points start in the 2 way handicap. This mark I find ludicrous and offensive to an underperforming but still very capable Bulls unit.
Fill your boots.
RECOMMENDATION - 5 POINTS STAKE on Bradford +22.5 @ 1.91 (Totesport)
