I can't quite put my finger on why, but tonight's card does not inspire me at all. After plenty of consideration, I have picked out what I consider to be great value selections and hopefully continue to help line the pockets of you punters!

ST LOUIS CARDINALS (Lohse 9-2, 3.63) @ DETROIT TIGERS (Galarraga 7-2, 3.03) 00:05 am Thurs (5 minutes past Midnight)

I am not picking on Armando Galarraga, honestly! The Tigers rookie has been supreme so far this season, but he is up against a pitcher in almost identical form in Cards rotation man Kyle Lohse, so we could have a good little contest on here.

The Cards are having a fantastic season so far and I would like to think they can follow up the success they had in the series against Boston by giving the Tigers plenty of grief. Bear in mind, they won here 8-4 last night so are hardly in bad nick!

Albert Pujols will always be a big miss for the Cards but his absence hardly justifies the ridiculous disequilibrium in the pricing.

There is not much to say where this one is concerned because it is pretty clear cut that these two pitchers have long since seen their best days and with two aggressive units like the D-Backs and The Red Sox, we could be in for an absolute run-fest and as such I think you should take advantage of the Over 9.0 option whereby if exactly nine runs are scored, you get your dough back!

Expect the sluggers in these units to lick their lips at the prospect of facing up against an old stager. Be it 'The Big Unit' Randy Johnson or Tim Wakefield, both are waning stars.
