Article: WARRINGTON V HUDDERSFIELD
6th September - 18:00 GMT
I actually could not believe the quote given by Hills for this one. For me this was a 12-14 point handicap level for sure and at that I would have had absolutely no interest at all.
Warrington really need to win this to ensure that they get a home tie for the play-offs against Wigan. The possible alternative if they were to lose is an away trip to Catalans which is hardly a desirable option first up.
Huddersfield have absolutely nothing but pride to play for and while this can be a dangerous thing, I don't see that they will bring enough desire to the fore for them to be dangerous enough to win.
Jimmy Lowes will get his troops fired up for this one, not that they should really need firing up anyway. And if the coach is unable to fire them up, the usually passionate crowd of the Halliwell-Jones Stadium will no doubt be singing loud and proud.
After a patchy season, the reality is that Warrington should finish fourth this season which if it was offered pre-season, considering that this is a league which contains both St Helens and Leeds, you would imagine most supporters would gratefully accept this. So all is not bad for the Wolves but given some of the huge signings of the summer (King, Monaghan and Hicks), you would have expected much better and more consistent performances.
There is never such thing as a nailed on option with Warrington, but this looks like one of the better bets on Wire all season.
Expect desire to win out today and back the generous -8 offered by Hills @ 1.8.
Have a little nibble at unders too. Huddersfield can be pretty stubborn when they want to be and Warrington can sometimes start slowly.
RECOMMENDATION - 3 Points on Warrington -8 @ 1.8 (William Hill)
1 Point on Under 44.5 @ 1.83 (Bet365, Bluesq )
