Now wait one moment and take a look at the Super League table. You will see that the Catalan Dragons are to finish third this season and that is a given. Harlequins could sneak as high as seventh so there may be a little bit of a cash incentive for them to win the game as they presently lie in tenth. But this pretty much tells you of the difference in class between the two teams over the course of the 2008 Super League seasons.

Now I am not telling you that Catalans should be favourites for this contest at all. The stoop isn't the nicest of places to go to particularly if you are used to the delights of the South of France. But to call the third placed Catalans, a team that is going to want to remain sharp for the biggest ever game in its history against Warrington, a 2.63 shot is frankly an insult in my view. I would advise a small nibble at this price.

The theme with last matches of the season which carry no real meaning for me is usually high scoring games. Last night I incorrectly suggested that the Warrington game could have a lower than usual total points because of poor conditions and the importance of the match. Warrington completely folded under the pressure and that is why there was a lot of points. But even so, Huddersfield still had to have the desire to put the points on the board and on that score, they delivered.
So what is my point? Well my point is that two teams that have nothing really on this game should deliver plenty of points. The Catalans should play expansively and freely because they wont want an arm wrestle match up and considering that the Quins are at home for their last game, I am sure they will want likewise to put on a show for the fans. Over 44.5 is the play for me.
