Race 11 22.08 400m Flat (OR)

Tonight see's a decent open race card from Romford with the main highlight being the Coral on TV Standard final where Trap 3 Kingsmill Beau looks to add another win to his tally over course and distance.

The race in question for me is the 22.08 over 400m and see's the return of Seamus Cahill's Lethal Freddie.
 
Last seen at Romford on the 12th December when well beaten returns from a spell on the sidelines he posted a smart 16.40 over Hove's 285m in a trial 2 weeks ago and is well known to go very well fresh and has a plum Trap 6 draw. The selection put in a top performance when beaten on his reappearance over 460m at Wimbledon and was certainly in the race to the third bend when only beaten 3/4 of a length.  I expect Freddie to be almost 100% this evening which will be good enough to win this event.
 
Trap 1 Bonville Podge trained by Maxine Locke is capable of a fast run in his own company but with Trap 2 Barnfield Haveit and Trap3 Heavenly Master both heading for a rails pitch Bonville should see trouble inside.
 
Trap 4 Royal Hunter has posted a smart calculated 24.28 on slow going and also a fast 16.35 Trial over Hove's 285m and to be fair is an unknown quantity.
 
Trap 5 Ardpatrick Harry is a fast animal in his own right but should find the 400m of Romford on the sharp side and doesn't have to pace to trouble our selection out of the traps.
 
With Freddie being fresh I would expect him to lead at the first bend but also having great middle pace and if unable to take the lead early expect him to show down the back straight .
 
The Racing post has a tissue of 2.5, my tissue is the same but I wouldn’t be surprised to see Lethal Freddie open around Evens.
