Friday Night At Romford
By Romford RaiderAnother Friday night open race card from Romford and have a picked out a value bet in the 22:24.
Rio Sanzio trained by Danny Riordan is a greyhound that has been successful for us before and has a cracking draw to work from.
A huge downgraded in class and the red jacket should seem him get an early pitch round the first bend and take the lead from the 2nd bend. He has won 1 from 2 from Trap 1 but has seemed to spend most of his career running middle, he does rail and the tissue of the Racing Post of 6.0 is to huge.
Looking at the make up of the race Trap 2 Swift Pebble doesn't have the greatest of pace from the boxes and without a look around will struggle.
Ken Testers Trap 3 Navena has had a look, beaten by 2 1/4 lengths in a recent 400m and clocked 24.55. I find Hove dogs struggle to adapt to the tight bends and short straights at first but is A1 at his native Hove but looks a strong runner and will have to pass a few to get loose.
Trap 4 All That Noise will go off favourite a recent 35.66 winner is a big danger to our selection. This runner will turn move wide from the traps and is drawn in between two slugs from the boxes, but to inconsistent and will go off shorter than the 4.0 RP tissue.
Trap 5 Capel Smiley will struggle to match these early and will be finishing best of all when it matters but may well get to far adrift early.
Trap 6 Bubbly Totti is a credit to connections. He has never liked Romford as the shorts straights don’t sort his style of running, been retired more times than George Foreman.
I think the red box is a big advantage and should see Rio Sanzio challenge All That Noise for an early lead and sneak around on the inside to claim a well deserved success.
