Saturday Night NBA

By Divol

Charlotte Bobcats v Orlando Magic

24th January 00:05 GMT

This is not the easiest game of course to go against one of the best home teams in the league. It's even harder to do it after road beating and before they go on a tough road trip of 6 games to the West. Still, it's a good bet I feel. First of all, Magic won twice Cats already including in Charlotte. Now I doubt Magic will overlook them, since it is their biggest game this week, after playing at home two easy games against Pacers and the Kings. I can't believe they will take this game lightly, after seeing Cats win Cleveland, Phoenix and the Spurs as well. Furthermore, they are trying to finish 3rd in the East or maybe even higher and after Hawks trashed Cats last night, Magic will feel they need to do the same.

As for Charlotte, well I like them a lot. Still, they aren't NBA top team and 16 - 4 home record is also a bit too good to be true for them. Can easily see them coming back to earth today, not that it's a bad thing for Charlotte.

If it wasn't for the coming road trip, it would have been higher play, but it's a good play as it is as well.

Miami Heat v Sacramento Kings

24th January 00:35 GMT

This bet is simply based on a fact that Heat suck at home. Their home record isn't far from road record with 12 - 10 at home and 10 - 10 on a road, while at home they only 10 - 12 ATS and 11 - 9 ATS on a road and while on a road they won the Magic, was buzzer beating shot away from winning in Staples Center over the Lakers, won Houston and Phoenix as well. At home on the other hand, they only 5 - 7 ATS in lines that are 5 and higher, meaning in games they were big favorites. At home they won by Wade's buzzer beater the poor Nets, struggled and almost lost (despite covering in the end) against the Wizards at home, almost lost to Hornets without CP3. Beasley's approach to the Charlotte's game this week shows the exact state of mind that Heat are in. They are convinced for some reason they are a good team and should beat easily all the mediocre and weak teams in this league. They arrogant against such teams and even if they don't get to pay for this too often, they are struggling to cover big lines.

Kings on the other hand, could come flat after losing all games on this trip, being tired, being angry on everyone, including medical staff for healing Martin. But, they also a young and proud team and can come to this game as this is their last chance to save their face in this trip.

Not sure if I can play big on such assumption, but I will try it small for sure.

Pick: Kings +7.5, 1.95 - 2 units play - 188bet
