Wednesday Night NBA

By Divol

Milwaukee Bucks v Houston Rockets

18th February 01:05 GMT

Houston lost last night against Utah, despite having a great chance to beat a Conference rival and now they need to amend it on the road. I also feel that the speculations that Roy might be done for the season should be a major boost to the Rockets. Without Roy, it will be very difficult for the Blazers to maintain their 8th seed and with CP3 out, Houston should feel it is their chance to make the run for the playoff. On top of that, there are talks about T-Mac finally getting traded and if it's true and T-Mac gets to the Knicks for Hill, Jefferies and Hughes, that means that three legit roster players are coming to the team and the current ones will need to fight from now to get their minutes. On many teams it could cause a negative effect, but Rockets are tough and they are warriors so I believe it will be good affect.

The Bucks on the other hand are in good form no doubt about that, especially Bogut. Still, having said that, Bucks have beaten mediocre teams at best. Besides two wins against the injured Heat the Bucks have won most of their games by single digits, so the 5.5 points line is huge here.

I could be wrong, but I do believe that the Rockets are a good bet for medium stakes here.

Pick: Rockets +5.5. 1.98 - 3 units play - 188Bet

New Jersey Nets v Miami Heat

18th Fenruary 00:35 GMT

Heat have found their defense all of a sudden. They stopped Rockets on 66 points, Hawks on 76 and last night the Sixers on 78 points only. That is really something and I doubt it will stop against the struggling and defensive Nets of all teams. Nets been an Under team all season, despite the recent 5 - 2 Over run and I believe it will balance back to the Under.

187 points is a lot to give here, with a good chance of very low score, with Nets not making it to 80 points and Heat stopping below 90 even. 88 - 82 makes sense to me here, maybe 87 - 79, way Under the total given here.

Pick: Under 187.5, 1.95 odds - 3 units play - Pinnacle
