Sunday's Basketball

By Divol

Cajasol v Valladolid

14th March 11:30 GMT

Valladolid are dropping having lost 3 of their last 4 games, while Cajasol has stopped the bleeding after two losses in a row with a road win at Murcia in the last round. Cajasol can still finish 6th - 8th place or even climb to 4th so this is a big match for them. Valladolid have got nothing to play for in my opinion, since I can't see them making it to the playoffs and they won't get relegated either.

Gran Canaria v Basquet Manresa

14th March 11:30 GMT

Canaria are playing perhaps their best basketball of the season right now. When they are in good form and at home, taking them to win is always a good idea. Manresa are in good form as well, but I do see home court as a huge advantage for Canaria.

I like the chances of both teams to win, but since the handicap is a bit high, I rather take them as a combo with smaller handicap or ML if you can't don't have an offer for smaller handicap.

Pick: Cajasol -3.5 (1.5) + Canaria -1.5 (1.5)  - 2.25 odds - 3.5 units play - Stan James

Maccabi Haifa v Barak Netania

14th March 17:40 GMT

Well I can't count the number of times I went against Netania and lost, but I will continue to fade them. They are just not a team that should be fighting for 2nd place in the league. Haifa at home, finally healthy and with a decent Center are a better team. Jefferson has been weak lately, but starts to come back to himself and I can see it even as a blowout.

Pick: Haifa -4, 1.85 - 3 units play - Sportingbet

Hapoel Holon v Gilboa Galil

14th March 17:35 GMT

I think that in general, taking Holon at home and fading them on the road can be a good thing to do for the next few rounds. Holon now has a decent team, but needs home court energies, since they still get 5 - 7 minutes of a bad run that they need to overcome.

Galil finally gave a good game against Rishon and I thought they might be returning to their beginning of the season form, but then came the game against Maccabi and Galil played poorly. I know that game against Maccabi is always hard, but Galil played poorly and Maccabi trashed them without trying.

Pick: Holon to win, 2.26 odds - 2 units play - Pinnacle
