Divol's Sunday Basketball - Part Two

By Divol

Miami Heat v Boston Celtics

25th April 18:05 GMT

Paul Pierce scored Under 20 points in 4 out of the 5 games he played against Heat this season. He also averages 16.7 points on the road this season. Why is the total set on 19.5 points? I honestly don't know. I think that 17.5 is the right total for him. He can go off and score 30+ points as he did in Game 3 or give one quarter of 10+ points and kill the bet. Still, I do think that such a high total just asks for a small bet on it.

Pick: Pierce Under 19.5 points, 1.85 odds - 2 units play - Triobet

San Antonio Spurs v Dallas Mavericks

26th April 00:05 GMT

Game 3 was amazing to me. I'm following the league for many years and don't remeber a single case when a team won without scoring even one three point shot. Now, I'm sure that my mind playing tricks on me and I did witness such situations in the past, but it has to be very rare occasion. Today we will see one of two things. Either Dallas punishes the Spurs for not having decent shooters or Spurs punish Dallas for not being able to beat them when they hardly shot and shot poorly from behind the arc. I will go with the first option so there are two bets for me here:

Ginobili Under 19.5 points - First of all, Manu has a broken nose and there is a decent chance he will wear a mask. Now Manu is as tough SOB as there is in the game and I have huge respect for him because of it. But still, it's hard to play in such physical series as it has and will be against Dallas with a broken nose and to score 20+ points.

Second bet is on Dallas. We all know that Stern doesn't like Cuban, the owner of Dallas. Still, Dallas did manage to beat Spurs twice in San Antonio and I doubt that Stern had much love for Cuban last season as well. Game 3 was unusual for Dallas as well. Carlisle played with Barrea almost three quarters straight, benching Marion and Butler for a whole half. It can be very good or very bad for them, but players tend to swallow their pride much quicker in the playoffs and it can actually wake Butler, a player that Dallas desperately needs.

I was thinking if I want to take Dallas winning the series or just winning the game and chose the second option. Spurs capable of winning another game in Dallas, but Dallas will win at least one more game in San Antonio as well I believe.

Picks:

Ginobili Under 19.5 points - 1.85 odds - 2 units play - Triobet / Unibet

Dallas +3, 1.92 odds - 3 units play - Expekt

Dallas to win, 2.32 odds - 1 units play - Pinnacle

Utah Jazz v Denver Nuggets

26th April 02:35 GMT

I will take Carmelo to score Over 30.5 points today. As I said before, I hate to take such big totals for player props, but this is his time. Utah can't stop him and Game 3 was the first game that he failed to score 30+ points. In 6 games so far against Utah, he averages around 35 points against them and he scores on the road just as good as at home.

I will take my chance on Denver as well. Denver are a good team and they will win today or in Game 6 I believe in Utah. I will take my chances on them today for small units.

Picks:

Carmelo Over 29.5 points - 1.85 odds - 2 units play - Triobet

Denver to win, 2.22 odds - 2.5 units play - Pinnacle
