Phoenix Suns v San Antonio Spurs

6th May 02:05 GMT

This is the key game for the series. I know that the right bet here are the Suns, but it's so hard to play the team that lost time after time to Spurs in the playoffs in a game that if Suns win it, they go up 2 - 0 and a great chance to advance past the Spurs in the series.  Still, this is the right play. Suns beat Spurs very confidently and with very similar results all three times they played in Arizona this season  to just say that the first game was a lucky win or that Spurs will win tonight. 111 - 102, 112 - 101, 116 - 104 were the results.

In Game 1, nothing special happened. Both teams shot below their average from 3pt and FT and a little above their average from FG so nothing special, Spurs took the same amount of rebounds, Suns turned the ball more, made more fouls (by 1 but still) and still won. I think that this time they actually might win in a more easy way than the last seconds run. Both teams didn't get any contribution from their role players. Other than mystical reasons and that Spurs are a playoff team and Suns are regular season team, what other arguments support Spurs play? I might add that Joe Crawford is the ref tonight. He is known as not exactly a Duncan fan and each time that Spurs lost a series in the last two years, Crawford was a ref in one of the games in the series and Spurs lost the game. I like the Over as well, but the refs are just brutal to the Over bet. Crawford is 10 - 2 in favour of the Under in games that he was a ref that involved with Suns or Spurs this season. All three refs are bad for Over backers, but Crawford especially.

One bet I will take and that is the Parker Over prop. I believe that Parker will finish this series with a 2o point average. He usually play great against this team and is the biggest advantage for his team. Parker sees that Nash is guarding and suddenly he can't see anything but the basket. Parker scored 26 in Game 1. I wanted to take Parker badly in Game 1, but wanted to make sure his injury is not bothering him. Suns 114 - Spurs 102 is my projected score today. Suns have been a much better first half than second half team against the Spurs and Spurs actually won most second halves and I believe that if Spurs will manage to win today, it will also happen in the 2nd half.

Picks:

Suns -2 at first half, 1.95 odds - 1.25 units play - Bet365

Suns -3, 1.94 odds - 1.25 units play - Pinnacle

Parker Over 16.5 points - 1.80 odds - 2 units play - Bet- at- home
