Los Angeles Lakers v Pheonix Suns

20th May 02:00 GMT

I have nothing to add to what I wrote about this game in Game 1 to be honest. Suns missed their best chance to steal the game in LA and got beat and today I believe there is a chance of another 20+ points beating. I agree that the series isn't over, but Lakers should close it and soon I hope and believe. Lakers had one of their best shooting days in Game 1 and Suns had a terrible shooting day, so one would suggest that today things should even out. But, Game 1, despite ending with 21 points only, was much closer to being a 40+ point’s win. The Lakers just didn't try to go for that and settled for 20 points win. Second, Lakers did a great job contesting Suns shots. You could see that Lakers, just like other teams did with Artest, gambled on Frye to leave him open in some spots to shoot and miss, while they did go at him from his better shooting positions.

Scoring wise, Suns did their job. Amare 23 points, J-Rich 15 points, Dragic 13, Nash 13. They even got 14 points from Lopez and 11 from Barbosa and that just came instead of the usual production they get from Frye and Dudley. Suns lost on defence and to be honest, watching the game, I can't think of a better job by Suns. Kobe perhaps will miss a few tough shots that he made in Game 1, but overall? This is what Lakers brings against the Suns. Kobe can't be stopped by anyone other than himself, Gasol has no one to stop him either. Odom had a great day, but he and Bynum scored 23 points combined in Game 1 and today, they will probably score same number again, but Bynum will contribute a bit more. Suns just need to hope that Lakers will have at least one bad shooting game to steal one game and not get a sweep. As for the defence, they just can't stop the Lakers...

The second bet is again on Gasol's Under as far as rebounds go. 4 rebounds in Game 1, two of them he didn't take. In one case the ball just jumped in his hands, he didn't even jump for it or try to take rebound and the other he picked up from the floor, don't know why it was written as a rebound even. It was team's effort + Odom's 19 rebounds game. Again, not sure he will do that again, but Bynum can take more than 4 rebounds and today they should combine for 20+ rebounds.
