The European Golf Tour

This week after the Middle East Swing has concluded the tour visits India for the first time. Sadly the top boys are having a week off before the first World Championship Event next week so the field resembles a challenge tour event (and that is being kind). The course is attached to a hotel and looks far from challenging but is certainly spectacular set around a huge lake.

There will be huge interest in local hero and the man I feel is a very likely winner Jeev Milka Singh. He played superbly well last week just losing his way on the last day but he was playing against some of the top players in the world, this week he ain’t!! My one worry is he could get too psyched up such is his desire to win this but he seems a fairly level headed guy with a simple swing that should stand up to any last round pressure. I think we should have a strong bet on him this it is a very uncompetitive event.

We will have one more bet and it has to be Pablo Larrazabal. He will really love this more generous resort course and weaker field. This guy is rededicating himself to golf and the fact he is here speaks volumes to me. There are four par fives on this course and he can take advantage of that fact.
