Premier League Darts
By Profit SwingTonight the Premier League makes it to Exeter and I think Profit Swing followers may well be in for a very good evening. Last week was shock after shock but I think tonight maybe more predictable. Certain trends are emerging, Barneveld is on the decline and Wade is appearing distracted and of course Taylor keeps on winning.
First on is Jackpot Lewis who is a great value bet to keep Wade stuck at the bottom of the league. Lewis will realise that. By beating Wade tonight he will greatly increase his chances of a top four finish. The bookmakers make Wade favourite, they must have been watching a different player to me and I take Lewis to pile on the pressure.
Pick: Lewis 3 Points Win 2.6 Sportingbet
We then come to our selection in the outright Whitlock who beat Barneveld last week. Whitlock should start to settle down now he has that win and I make him maximum bet material to see off Ronnie Baxter who had a great night last week beating King. Whitlock should score too heavily for Baxter who to beat him will have to take out big finishes for the second week in a row, I find that unlikely.
Pick: Whitlock 5 points win 1.62 Ladbrokes
We then come to Mervyn King versus Terry Jenkins who is unbeaten in the league with two draws and a win .I think Jenkins will taste defeat tonight as the King will be keen to put last week’s shock defeat to Baxter behind him. Jenkins has ridden his luck so far in this league; it may be about to run out.
Pick: King 3 points win 2 Boylesports
We will also place our insurance lucky 15 (trust me if we stop doing it, it will drop that week) The best-combined draw odds I have seen are with Ladbrokes.
Pick: Lucky 15 (1 point total stake)
James Wade vs Adrian Lewis - Draw 5.0 Ladbrokes
Simon Whitlock vs Ronnie Baxter - Draw 5.0 Ladbrokes
Mervyn King vs Terry Jenkins - Draw 5.0 Ladbrokes
Phil Taylor vs Raymond Van Barneveld - Draw 7.0 Ladbrokes
So in summary, we are now at week four and my idea of the top four to qualify are Taylor, King, Whitlock and Lewis. We are on King and Whitlock in the outright’s at much bigger prices than they are now. This is largely because Barneveld and Wade have underperformed and drifted but lets remember this is a long league and many players will have little runs of form. Enjoy the Darts tonight and lets hope we have three wins to celebrate.
