Tuesday at Cheltenham

Its time to put away all other thoughts and issues it's Festival Time...
Well firstly Davy Russell usually a good judge thinks the ground will be genuinely good meaning the first part of our ante post strategy that we would get good ground has proved correct. Now all the horses have to do is win!!
First race is the Supreme Novices Hurdle where we HAVE to take advantage of Paddy Power's offer of return of all stakes if Dunguib wins. I have just placed these and had it confirmed that all the stakes are returned if Dunguib wins and the guy on the phone from Paddy Power told me everyone is checking, as they cannot believe it. Anyone having a bet in this race on any horse other than Dunguib and not betting with Paddy Power needs to consider tiddlywinks, as there is no hope for them in punting.
Right lets try and get the mighty Dunguib beat and I think we might just do it. This will be the quickest ground he has raced on and his only ever defeat was on good ground plus he will not find it as easy to keep coming back on the bridle after clobbering hurdles. We will have three bets in this race firstly Get me out of here the recent winner of the Tote Gold Trophy he showed a lot of maturity to beat older handicappers and will have learnt a lot about big field races that day.
We will also back two Nicky Henderson horses Oscar Whiskey and General Miller. The former is unbeaten and has never been extended to win so could be anything and the latter is overpriced as he did not stay two and a half miles last time out. There is a lot of confidence surrounding both Henderson horses so we need to cover them both.
13:30 Supreme Novices Hurdle
Pick: 3 Points Win
Get Me Out of Here 5.0 Pick: 2 Points Win
Oscar Whiskey 10.0Pick: 1 Point Win
General Miller 23.0 All bets With Paddy Power (Best odds guaranteed)
14:05 The Arkle
Well the day has arrived. We were on Kangaroo Court at 50 s in January he is half those odds now and has his ground. I think he is going to run a huge race and I just hope Jack Doyle can keep him out of trouble as I think there will be casualties with so much pace in the race. I have doubts about all the Irish horses at the head of the market so I think there is value in playing two further small EW Selections who fought out the finish of a race in Doncaster that has been overlooked by everyone. They are Woolcombe Folly and Im Delilah. We were on Im Delilah that day and I still can't believe we lost but that was a good race and more importantly both horses jumped superbly. I can tell you that Graham Lee will try and make all today so he if there is any carnage behind he will not be involved, both horses are overpriced.
Pick: 1 Point EW 1/4 1,2,3
Im Delilah 41.0 Bet365 (Best odds guaranteed)Pick: 1 Point EW 1/4 1,2,3
Woolcombe Folly 26.0 Bet365 (Best odds guaranteed)14:40 The William Hill Trophy
A tough race with many tips flying round we will play one small bet on a horse with winning Festival form who I am told by his owner is back to his very best if that is the case then he will be involved in the finish. His trainer John Quinn is peerless at getting them right on the big day so in a fiendishly difficult race we will side with Character Building.
Pick: 1 Point EW 1/4 1,2,3,4
Character Building 15.0 William Hill 15:20 The Champion Hurdle
I would not swap our Ante Post selection Medermit with anything and he will love the drying ground so no further selections I just hope there is plenty of pace Celestial Halo and Zaynar should ensure that.
16:00 Cross country
A novelty race that should not be at the festival, next !
16:40 David Nicholson Mares Hurdle
Another four day filler but I do think Quevega will retain her crown as Voler La Vedette does not jump well enough for me and there is really nothing else in this race to trouble Quevega
Pick: 3 Points win
Quevega 3.0 Ladbrokes sportsbookHave a great first day
