Tonight we hit the Liverpool Echo Arena for what should be a lively atmosphere. Last year the noise level was incredible here and the event is virtually a sell out again so stand by for an exciting night.

The first game of the night features last week’s surprise winner Terry Jenkins taking on The Rocket Ronnie Baxter. As is the way this year there has been an overreaction to the Jenkins victory against Lewis who could not finish last week. Baxter’s average in drawing with King was higher and he will take the finishes out. I cannot believe he is odds against, against a man who has lost six out of seven. No problem though we will help ourselves!

We then come to Wade against Barneveld who is propping up the whole table. Wade though able to draw confidence from last week’s draw against Taylor will be mindful that he made no ground on his rivals for a top four finish. He has to win tonight as the games are running out and I think he will win well.

King takes on Lewis in the next game and I am getting concerned that our main bet in the outright is starting to get embroiled in reacting to the crowds baiting a little too much. I was at the game last week and Merv took some fearful abuse, it will be worse tonight in Liverpool. I cannot however put up Lewis whose form looks to be ebbing away so we will sit this one out and hope King wins as if he does he is almost over the line in terms of qualification.

The final game of the evening is a repeat of the world final as Taylor plays Whitlock. As predicted last week Taylor is wobbling but I’m not sure the Wizard is capable of toppling him tonight. The bookies have priced this one up exactly as I have so we will cheer Whitlock on from the sidelines.

We will also place our insurance lucky 15 for all games to finish in a draw staking 1 point in total. Barneveld had three darts a double eight to bring three winners up on this last week so it may well drop before the league finishes. The best combined odds are with Totesport.
