I have spent the last 24 hours scouring the markets for match bets and have come up with two that carry maximum confidence!

They are both with Stan James who are having a go again with all match bets priced up at even money the pair. We landed the maximum Match bet in the Us Open with Edoardo Molinari and we are sticking with him against Charles Schwartzel who looked in terrible shape last week. Schwartzel tends to play well in bursts and he is riding the crest of a slump at the moment. Unlike Edoardo, who is one of the most in form players in the world. On my odds Molinari should be 1.25 here so at levels we must jump in.

Our second bet is Rory Mcilroy to beat Padraig Harrington. I really think this is a cracking bet because if anyone is trading on past glories it is Harrington who has looked pitiful this year. The man has changed his swing so often I'm not sure even he remembers what he is supposed to be doing and his greens in regulation stats are down among the worst on tour. People will back him this year thinking he will be sparked into action by being at The Open, he won’t!

Young Rory on the other hand looks ready to challenge for the title. He is appalling value mind you in the outright’s but we don't need him to win we just need him to take care of Harrington's score which I am very confident he will. This is another superb value bet.

I cannot find any real value in the speciality markets on offer so we will leave it now in terms of any pre Open bets but we may come in again during the Tournament if I feel there is any merit and of course we will trade the last round. I see Tiger has changed his putter for the first time in twelve years, oh dear.

The fun starts tomorrow, get in front of the TV and make sure everyone thinks you are out!
