At last it's here, the greatest team event in World Sport begins on Friday morning. I think it's going to be very close and that the European team is not as strong as many feel it is and conversely the Americans are stronger than they may appear. For this reason I’m afraid with a heavy heart it’s a bet on the Americans to retain for us this week. It’s my job to make you profits and I feel they are amazing value. The course is set up for long hitters and with the wet weather players like Dustin Johnson and Mickelson will have a huge advantage. I also fear that Mr Doubtfire himself Montgomerie may be a less than inspiring captain whereas Pavin is a very shrewd operator. The enigma that is Tiger appears very focused and I wonder if young Rory will regret his claims that he wants to play him. Be careful what you wish for young man!

I am of the opinion that some players really take to the Ryder Cup and bring the form with them from two years ago so we will stick with the top two last time Mahan and Poulter. Neither in great form but both amazing match players and will be featuring in all the games. Poulter looks like he has been fed on raw meat he is that fired up and Mahan will be the go to man in Pavin's eyes.
