Article: NJ's Premier League Weekend
Everton vs Manchester Utd
25th October - 12:00GMT
| Everton wins | Draws | Man Utd wins | |
| League | 52 | 37 | 69 |
| FA Cup | 5 | 0 | 5 |
| League Cup | 2 | 0 | 1 |
| Total | 59 | 37 | 75 |
These two sides could simply not be in more contrasting form - the Toffees have a 0-3-4 record in their last seven games, whereas United are 6-1-0 in the same period,
including five consecutive clean sheets. Wayne Rooney has been key to this upturn in form after a poor start to the season, and has bagged nine goals in his last seven games.
As if he needed any further motivation playing against his old side, Rooney is just one short of nabbing 100 league goals. How poetic would it be for him to score his 100th goal
against his old side, on the same ground where he came to prominence as a fiery-tempered 17 year old with a wonder goal against Arsenal?
We fancy him to get on the scoresheet again, and he represents fantastic value for us at odds-against. The 2.6 dangled by Blue Square on a Man United 'win to nil' result is also worth a decent investment considering the current form of both sides.
Chelsea vs Liverpool
26th October - 13:30 GMT
| Chelsea wins | Draws | Liverpool wins | |
| League | 44 | 28 | 58 |
| FA Cup | 5 | 0 | 4 |
| League Cup | 2 | 0 | 2 |
| Total | 51 | 28 | 64 |
Sunday's big game sees Liverpool travel to Stamford Bridge, which has proved a fortress for Chelsea in recent years. They haven't tasted defeat since a loss to Arsenal in 2004, and Liverpool are yet to score at the ground in the league under Rafa Benitez. Chelsea haven't conceded a single goal in all competitions in over a month, and without Fernando Torres leading the line, Liverpool will surely continue to struggle at the ground.
Everything points to a relatively comfortable Chelsea win, and so we'll have another dabble in the 'win to nil' market at generous odds.
Portsmouth vs Fulham
26th October - 17:00 GMT
| Portsmouth wins | Draws | Fulham wins | |
| League | 21 | 16 | 11 |
| FA Cup | 2 | 1 | 0 |
| Total | 23 | 17 | 11 |
At first glance, it's not been a terrible start to the season for Portsmouth. They have strengthened their forward line and are in seventh place in the league. However, their performances have been far from convincing at times, and it seems that their true form is catching up with them, after a lacklustre 3-0 defeat away to Braga in the UEFA Cup.
The polar opposite can be said for Fulham - 17th place is a harsh reflection on performances so far and they are not playing like relegation candidates, but the harsh reality is that unless there is an abrupt change in fortunes, they could well be struggling. Nevertheless, Fratton Park holds fantastic recent memories for the Cottagers, after a 1-0 final day win last season saw Roy Hodgson's men complete a miraculous escape from relegation. This is certainly looking like a decent time to play Portsmouth and for Fulham to get a result, so we will back them on the Asian Handicap. I also feel that the HT/FT market is worth a look at, with Coral offering a generous 12.0 on the draw/Fulham result.
Manchester City vs Stoke City
26th October - 15:00 GMT
| Man City wins | Draws | Stoke wins | |
| League | 32 | 17 | 29 |
| FA Cup | 3 | 0 | 2 |
| League Cup | 3 | 1 | 2 |
| Total | 38 | 18 | 33 |
Looking at the stats, a goal-fest should be expected at Eastlands on Sunday. With the Brazilian flair of Jo and Robinho, all of City's seven league games so far have seen 'over 2.5 goals', with the corresponding figure at 6 out of 8 for Stoke. We're usually no great fans of piling into odds-on, but the value here simply can't be ignored.
