Wigan have won just once in their last eight games, so why they are chalked up as marginal favourites against a resurgent Everton side is beyond comprehension. Granted, Steve Bruce's side have not played altogether badly, but their results show an intrinsic lack of confidence which has permeated throughout the side. Everton are begging to be backed here - they boast an impressive attacking line-up, with the likes Cahill, Arteta, Fellaini, Yakubu and Saha the envy of most Premiership managers. The Toffees have an impressive 4-1-1 away record this season, and after a shaky start,they are 3-2-0 in their last five Premiership games. They have also won their last three in a row against Wigan, so at the odds on offer, this has to be our bet of the week.
