NJ's Premier League Weekend
By Nishant Joshi

Dear readers, apologies for my enforced prolonged sabbatical, but I will now be back writing regular columns on Priceform.

Sunderland vs Liverpool

17th October 15:00 GMT

This weekend looks like a ropey one in the Premier League and my only strong fancy is Darren Bent to score vs Liverpool. Liverpool will be without Fernando Torres and Steven 'it wasn't me' Gerrard.

Sunderland are in with a great chance here and are available to back at 3.9 with Betfair, which I think represents a fair price. The Black Cats have already won 3 out of 4 home league games and certainly look a solid outfit under Steve Bruce, with the rejuvenated Andy Reid learning how to be the boss in midfield after foregoing his "pie a day/keeps the doctor away" mantra.

Darren Bent and Kenwyne Jones complement each other well up front and are an efficient goal scoring duo - most play is being funnelled towards a Bent goal as the end product, and he's already notched up 7 goals this season.

3.30 on Bent to score with Boylesports is the stand-out bet in this game.

Manchester Utd vs Bolton

17th October 15:00 GMT

Manchester Utd enter this fixture with a formidable home record against Gary Megson's Bolton. Megson is an intriguing character - a person with a very 'sackable' persona yet one who always seems to be scraping his way through managerial life. If there were to be a nuclear holocaust, I've no doubt that Megson would be laughing his ass off along with the cockroaches.

United find themselves without Wayne Rooney and Dimitar Berbatov, leaving them with Michael Owen and Sweet FA up front. It's hard to see how United will score more than a couple against a dogged Bolton defence, and so I feel that a slow start is perhaps inevitable. 0-0 half-time correct score has plenty of appeal @ 3.75 with Bet365.

NJ's Bets:

Darren Bent to score anytime vs Liverpool - 2.5pts @ 3.3 (Boylesports)

Man Utd vs Bolton half-time 0-0 - 2.5pts @ 3.75 (Bet365)
