This week I fancy two teams on the Asian Handicap.

Liverpool to beat Newcastle on the AH -1.5 @ 2.16

The return of the messiah to St James' Park has been similar to a divorced couple getting back together - there was euphoria to start off with, but the passion has died down after some limp performances, underlining why they parted company in the first place.

Newcastle clearly have a talented squad but their defence is a shambles, and this has had a knock-on effect throughout the team, which lacks any sort of confidence. They have now lost five of their last six games, losing four of them by two goals or more

Liverpool are a team on the up after an indifferent spell including unconvincing performances, culminating in the FA Cup humiliation at the hands of Barnsley. Back in form as a team, with Torres scoring consecutive hat-tricks at home, Liverpool have a knack of taking apart Premiership sides who are below par, and Newcastle are certainly there for the taking.

Everton to beat Sunderland on the AH -1 @ 3.4

Everton are an efficient and in-form team and they can definitely mount a serious challenge for fourth place this year. Yakubu has looked impressive in recent games and Tim Cahill has also shown signs of a welcome return to form.

Sunderland have been threatened by relegation throughout the season but they finally seem to be edging towards safety by getting decent results at home. However, with Everton winning five of the last six fixtures between these two sides, including a 7-1 drubbing in the reverse fixture, the Asian Handicap offers fantastic value here.

The double on these two AH bets gives odds of 7.34 with Bet365 and I feel that this is certainly worth a small dabble.
