Wimbledon Ladies' Preview - Williams 'Til I Die

Grand Slams are pretty much the only time that I'm interested in backing the Williams sisters. They have their own interests in Jehova, hip-hop artists, fashion, nails and Twitter, which seem to occupy them during the off-season - that is to say, every day of the year barring eight weeks or so of Grand Slam tennis.

And Wimbledon is their favourite hunting ground. With eight titles in the past ten years, the Williams sisters have absolutely dominated the event. Interestingly, they have met in the final itself on four of the last eight occasions. There is no doubt that they are the players to beat here, even though the return of Henin and Clijsters, along with the surge of Sam Stosur, will give hope to these relevant outsiders.

Despite my propensity to have an outside bet, in my opinion it is absolutely essential for us to have our book geared towards the Williams sisters here, and we should go in with maximum confidence.
