Sri Lanka vs India - Final Day

With Sri Lanka taking a 1-0 series lead into this decider, India were tipped to struggle once again. However, they have been ahead for the vast majority of the Test, until a potentially match-winning partnership between Thilan Samaraweera and Ajantha Mendis in the third innings.

Set 257 to win, India have already lost their top 3 - Vijay, Dravid and Sehwag are all back in the hutch. Their hopes like almost exclusively with Sachin Tendulkar, on a crumbling day 5 pitch which will begin to deteriorate even more alarmingly.

Sri Lanka should clearly be heavy favourites to win this, with 7 wickets to take on a final day on pitch which will show huge variation from now on. However, the market is clearly underestimating just how tough this chase will be. Sri Lanka are outsiders at 2.3 on Betfair but are being backed heavily in recent hours. Back them with full confidence, as you are getting 2.3 on what should be a 1.3 or 1.4 shot at best.
