Article: 1.01 Gubbed by Nishant Joshi
You'll never GUB alone
1.01 layers celebrated the first GUBBING! of the Premiership season as Liverpool snatched a typically undeserved win against a luckless Middlesbrough side.
Boro put up a plucky fight away at Anfield, and took the lead courtesy of pudgy Egyptian striker Mido in the 70th minute. Liverpool had started the match as 1.4 favourites, and then clawed their way back into the match courtesy of a fluky Jamie Carragher shot, deflected via Emmanuel Pogatetz.
With the score level at 1-1, Middlesbrough would have been hoping that Liverpool's luck had run out, but referee Mike Riley seemed to wait for Liverpool to score a goal before even contemplating blowing his whistle in injury time. Eventually, talismanic captain Steven Gerrard stepped up to the plate in the fourth minute of injury time and lashed home.
Yet again, 1.01 layers prevailed as over 18k was traded on the draw at Betfair's minimum price.
£18,574 traded on The Draw @ 1.01
GUBBED!
Until next week, happy gubbing!
