Once again I have found it hard to find any value this week. It is difficult at this stage of the season when teams fighting for points come up against teams that have nothing to play for. The bookmakers take the circumstances into consideration and the teams in needs of points become a much shorter price. For example, Man Utd are never a 1.16 shot against West Ham. If this game was played in the middle of the season we would see nearer 1.28 or 1.25 I'd guess. Similarly Bolton 1.66 at home to Sunderland is far too short, and we would see at least 'Evens' if this weren't being played at this stage of the season. The match of the weekend is Fulham at home to Birmingham, both of whom are fighting for their lives to avoid relegation, but this really could go either way and I wouldn't like to stick my neck out and predict a winner. All I'd say is to be careful backing short favourites who need to win and bear in mind that the larger priced teams may not be completely motivated. No tips from me this week but good luck....
