1845: Pathan hits the winning runs for Punjab after hitting the winning six for us, giving us 3/3 winners on the night. I look forward to you joining me next time, and will be happy to receive any feedback via the message board on my writer homepage. Enjoy your weekend, folks!
1820: Match looks a formality now with Yuvraj and Sangakkarra cruising along and Punjab trading at 1.07. Can't see them making a hash of 39 off 30 with 8 wickets in hand and the home crowd itching for a farewell win. We just need one more six to make it 3/3 for bets today, would be bitterly disappointed to not get that with Yuvraj at the crease.
1803: Punjab are 87/2 after 10, with JP Duminy removing Adrian Barath with his first ball. Punjab 1.2.
1748: Punjab cruising on 60/1 after 7, 1.26 to back.
1733: Any other teams and I'd be all over this 1.25 on Punjab. Only 7 an over needed and Harbhajan taking some stick, Punjab 41/0 after 4. Barath with the first six that we need.
1720: Punjab 9/0 after the first over and 1.53 to back on BetDaq. Mumbai's bowling is the strongest in the tournament but Punjab look as focused as they've been all tourney. We'll keep our powder dry for now.
1710: Wow, big surprise there! Just four runs off Mumbai's last over and three wickets falling, as Love Ablish sticks exclusively to bowling slower balls. I'm a big fan of this tactic, overall it's quite clear that bowlers are generally too intent on 'mixing it up' - do one thing really well instead of loads of things terribly!
UPSHOT FOR US...is that we win both of our runs lays, and Mumbai only scored two sixes in their innings, so we only need Punjab to hit three sixes to land 3/3 :)
1700: Hmmmm Love Ablish to bowl the last over. Not a fan. We need 9 or less, after Lee got pretty unlucky in his last over despite bowling as well as you could expect him and still going for 15 runs!
1653: Finally, A YORKER! Pathan ensures that Ablish's drop isn't too costly as he removes Pollard with a brilliant yorker. How about the rest of the bowlers take a gander and realise this might actually be a decent move? Or you can keep bowling dire half-tracker and reap your rewards...in the form of your double figure economy rates.
1650: Great 17th over by Lee should have culminated in a wicket, but Love Ablish puts down a tough chance at long-off, but sadly for us it's also parried for four! Beggars belief that they're allowing an Indian medium pacer to field at such an important position!
1620: Not usually one to top up but Duminy looks well out of form and Mumbai can only afford to consolidate right now. With only a sketchy Pollard to come as a specialist bat, we are laying 160+ once again at 2.1 for £50 liability.
1615: Huge wicket. Chawla bowls Tendulkar playing a very strange slog sweep, and Mumbai are 70/4 after 9.4.
1612: Time-out taken with Mumbai 66/3 after 9 overs. JP Duminy already looks to be continuing his dreadful form with an apprehensive 2 off 6, looking hapless against the spinners.
1605: Tiwary is stumped after a lazy flail off Chawla - Mumbai faltering at 59/3 after 7.3 and the pitch looks slow. LAY 170 RUNS @ 2.2 for £50 liability.
1559: And just as I say that...Chawla bowls Rayudu with a quicker, flatter, slider-cum-googly. Didn't pick up the change in pace at all and Rayudu goes for 33 off 18. Saurabh Tiwary in for Mumbai, facing Yuvraj Singh. Mumbai 51/2 after 6.
1555: Mumbai 45/1 off 5 with Rayudu going strong. Chawla into the attack against Tendulkar, against whom he was propelled to fame after bowling the little master with a googly in a domestic game.
1548: Already seems like this new-look Punjab are a bit more confident and up for it, although you'd have to worry that their heads might drop quickly if things start going against them.
1535: Shikhar Dhawan departs to Irfan Pathan's first ball of the night, chopping an outswinger onto the stumps.
1534: So that's a total of 5 changes for Punjab, and just the one for Mumbai, with JP Duminy coming in for Dwayne Bravo.
1530: Teams:
Kings XI Punjab: AB Barath, KC Sangakkara*†, DPMD Jayawardene, Yuvraj Singh, K Goel, IK Pathan, RS Sodhi, PP Chawla, RR Powar, B Lee, L Ablish
Mumbai Indians: SR Tendulkar*, S Dhawan, SS Tiwary, R Sathish, AT Rayudu†, JP Duminy, KA Pollard, R McLaren, Harbhajan Singh, SL Malinga, Z Khan
1515: Mumbai Indians win the toss and bat.
1450: Our first bet of the day will be £50 on Kings XI Punjab to score most sixes @ 2.4. With both Yuvraj Singh and Mahela Jayawardene hitting prime six-hitting form in their last couple of games, and with nothing to play for but pride, expect Kings XI to at least try and put on a good show. 2.4 represents excellent value - Punjab have scored 40 sixes so far compared to Mumbai's 39, although they have played one more game.
To reiterate, with a bank of £500, we will be staking a maximum of 10% per trade.
1400: Good afternoon to all and welcome to another instalment of Priceform's Trading Room.
This is a top vs bottom clash and hopefully we'll be in for a good trading game.
